Savor Sarasota: Restaurant Week 2017

This isn't my usual format, but I had to do my part to make sure that every foodie in Sarasota knows about Restaurant Week Sarasota!  This wonderful event is taking place June 1-14 all over Sarasota.

Here's how it works.  A ton of REALLY NICE restaurants all over Sarasota are providing a  prix-fixe menu that usually includes a three course meal: an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert.

For lunch: $16
For Dinner: $32

For some, this may be considered a bit much for eating out, but this is really an incredible price for restaurants like Tommy Bahama's, Capital Grille, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Chart House, and many more places where the appetizer alone would cost you $16.

You don't have to make a reservation unless you think it might be busy at that time.  Just show up and ask for the Restaurant Week Menu if they haven't already offered it to you.

What I tell people to do is to check out the full list of restaurants participating at http://www.savorsarasota.com/ and make your own list of places you would like to try that you wouldn't normally try out because of how expensive it usually is.
*Tip: Some restaurants are only providing the dinner option, so if you are wanting to take advantage of the lunch deal, check on the SavorSarasota website to make sure they are offering one for the restaurant of your choice.

If you end up going, I would love to hear about where you tried and what you thought! Happy Eating!
